Default Help figure this out please.

2006 ultra. I disconnected the battery to install a tender plug. Ever since maybe every other time I start the bike The RADIO comes on by itself. Do any of you all know what may be causing this? thanks..

The radio has an on/off button. Is it on? It will always come on by itself if left on when the ignition switch is turned on.

Go back clean and recheck all your connections at the battery. Had this problem when my battery was about at the end of its life.

Doesn't make any difference I did the same with my battery put it on the tender when ever it would sit for a couple of days when it's time for it to die it will die around 5 yrs is it's life span.

Have this same issue. Started right after I disconnected the battery.

My 06 has done this since new. So did my other 06. I just figured it's one of the quirks of the hk radio it's first year.

I've got an 2011 and it never did this. Turn the button on the radio off, it stayed off. Now it's just like the OP said, maybe every other time, hit the starter and the radio comes on. If the bike is in the garage, it's on the tender since the day I brought it home.

Gonna try getting into the diagnostics today. When I updated the firmware I seem to remember a reset option in one of the menus.

Good to know I am not the only one, I will try pulling the fuse, it is just weird that it started doing this after i disconnected the battry, checked with voltmeter and battery is good. Not a big deal, just annoying. Thanks.
