Just purchased an '01 RK w/ factory shocks.. going to buy a pump and can get a progressive suspension pump for a good price..will this work on the HD shocks? Don't know if there is a difference in valve stems
same way.progressive also have free lost pressure system.mrfuji
Thx for reply.. not quite sure what you mean.. I "think" you are saying that the progressive and the HD pumps work the same (ie.. has the same valve system).. correct?
Any "zero" loss air pump will work ( I got mine on Ebay for $30 delivered.) Make certain that the face reads up to 60 lbs, not 100 lbs (for ease of reading it.)
And the stock shocks are adequate. When they wear out consider a set (again off EBay,) of the newer '09 and later shocks. Lots of guys looking to move to shorter shocks and giving their old stock ones away. They're more stout than the earlier models ( you can run as much as 50 lbs in the newer model vs about 20 lbs in the older style and you'll pay about $60 for them.
