Any body have any experience with Magnum Sheathing's build your own kits? Looking at getting them to install my homemade apes because I have no idea how much over stock I need to buy. Somebody told me they are too much of a pain in the *** to bother with. BUt they are a lot cheaper and no worries about buying the wrong length.
They make great products and can't imagine they are bad with all there marketing for them. You should think about making those bars taller.
The guy at HD looked at me funny when I told them they were 24". They are kinda tall, but I'm 6'1" so they sit about shoulder height, maybe a little above depending on how much I slouch. That's why I want the BYO, if they are too tall, I'll have some made just a little shorter (and go to 1 1/2") and be able to just undo them and snip them a little to match without having to buy all new stuff.
