Ignition Switch Removal
Not trying to confuse the OP, but it could be different on the older bikes. I know it is on mine and I don't know what year the change occurred.

well, between the 2 videos he'll either be extremely knowledgeable, or very confused 
and just for fun, i went ahead and bought the marc parnes tool for removing the ignition. it wasn't expensive, and now i've got it on hand if/when i need it. i've already used it once, so i figured it's paid for.

I didnt intend to come off as a smart ***, but explaining the removal of that switch is almost like giving directions for brain surgery. Ive done it quite a few times, but its one of those things you cant really explain. Some pictures, a long screw driver, and alot of trial and error seems like a good description...
