Quick question, and I apologize if this is in the wrong area...
I am looking to add some accessory running lights (electropods, etc) to my Street Glide. A bunch of guys I ride with have them, but they have to use an external switch that comes with the kits that you can buy. I know that on my Street Glide I have an accessory switch up by my cruise on/off switch, but I dont know exactly how to wire something like that into it. The accessory module that goes with the switch is under the seat, but it is a plug like module that doesnt look like it would be able to be used in the application that I am describing. Has anyone had any experience with this, and if so how did you overcome it? Am I going to have to wire the lights directly to the switch and run the lines under my tank or is there a way to adapt it to that accessory module?
Buy 91843-97, plug it in to the accessory plug under the seat, remove the cigarette lighter end and you have a positive and negative wire that will turn on and off via the accessory switch.
that module uses duetch connecters,u can buy a harness at harley or u can use crimp on duetch connecters for like 12 cents,4 holes in the plug, one is on the ignition switch one on the aux switch, think a always hot and a ground.
