Test rode a few new H-D's today and am kinda leaning toward a new black 2013 Ultra. Wondering what the best deals off MSRP dealers are giving? We have 7% state sales tax here.
There are a lot of threads on here about pricing on new bikes. You're going to get slammed with opinions and stories that run the full spectrum. My advice, work a deal that you are comfortable with and helps you establish a good relationship with the dealer. Don't be afraid to try to get 5% or more below MSRP and ask for "perks" - discount on parts and motorclothes, free 1K (or more) service. Many dealers stick close to MSRP, and will give you other "stuff". A lot depends on inventory in your area. Remember this is the start of riding season (not sure where you are located) so many dealers are hungry, especially if it was a slooooow winter.

Shop the deal. Call every dealer within driving distance, email the sales person, let them see what the other is willing to do...make them work for it...
You might want to check with Barnett in El Paso and Mancusso and Republic in Houston. They can include shipping to your door...
I had an offer on a 2013 LIMITED of 31K TTL out the door with full stage 1, V&H power duals, K&N breather with stock football cover, Pro SERT, DYNO TUNED, my choice of footboards, covers, grips, shifter, brake peddal, 7 year extended warrenty...and then found a 2012 with stage 1 for $17,750 and the 7 year warrenty and bought it instead

for comparison I boight my '12 Limited for $22,200 OTD in black. Again, the bottom line is if YOU are comfortable with the deal you got that is all that matters
