Here is what I decided to do. I'm installing the wheels as is and then once the bike is all together, I'll ride it to a indy to get them balanced. It's this or wait until next Thursday to install them. I need to continue on with my installs as I deploy in 3 weeks.
If your deploying in 3 weeks, seems like you will need someone to break in all the new parts and seeing as I'm right down the road.....
You know I am hoping to at least fire it up before I leave. The tuning will just have to wait.
Oh just so that everyone knows and doesn't ask, God forbid that something should happen to me, I've decided that my bike will go to my Dad. He's still riding his 1985 FLT. Doesn't want a payment that a new one would give. Mine's paid for so I would want him to have it.
Back to Iraq. Been there 3 times and Afghanistan 4 times. I'm shooting for winning the toaster.
God bless you, man, you've done more than your share. Time for someone else to step up to the plate. I'm all for protecting our country, but I'm against a handful carrying the lion's share of the burden. We'll keep you in our prayers.

Thanks for the prayers. I know others who have gone just as much. What surprises me is that there are still some active duty people who have yet to go. That just baffles me as how that happens since this has been going on for 5+ years now.
I have a statictire balancer standthat I made. I had a machine shop mill a set of adapters so I can use it on 3/4" or 1" axle wheels. I mount and balance my own tires and have for years. At $17.50 a pop at the local H-D, mine works great and I've saved a bundle over the years.
