I recently recharged my K & N Air Claeaner and replaced my spark plugs with Harley OEM Plugs. I now noiticed my bike has s slight backfire when I'm slowing down. The parts guy at the dealer told me thge plugs are pregapped already and they are just plug and play.

Anyone have any thought?

plugs are better quality than in the past, but I still check and gap my own.

you may have over oiled the filter- if so, that'll fix itself.

throw a rag down to catch any drips on the cam cover.

I little dieelectric grease on the sparkplug boot is a good idea, helps when you do the next plug change

What model and year is your bike and are there any other mods?

 

2008 EG FLHTP with a 103...I have a K& N air cleaner and bassani 2 1/2 exhaust.
