OK so not sure how folks feel about the 103 engine. I have a 2012 Street Glide which I love the ride, but not much for the power side of things. I'm looking to do some mods just not sure which to do for the money. Vanes and hines fuel pack will that help is a screamin eagle better with a big sucker air cleaner . I have Bassani slip ons now I just wondering if any tip tricks or just plan *** help for my 103......
When I got my 2011 I thought the same thing. Then I put a Stag 1 with V&H Power Duals, V&H Monster Ovals, SE breather w/backing plate and SERT. I knew it would only give me a lil more torque, HP and wasn't expecting much more performance. When I took my first ride I cound not believe how much more power it gained. It really felt like it could not get out of its own way and very sluggish before and now I have power to spare. I say sluggish and I'm not a hot rodder so I know it was a slug.
If you had a 110 CVO I'll be you would want to wake that up too? Hummmmm. Guess we all want bigger and badass, lol I suggest a Boss Hoss with a V8, then after you own it a bit you'll want to wake that up!
Setup is in my signature.
I can't compare it to other makers or to using Vieds, but I'm very happy with the results... bike doesn't feel like its towing a piano anymore.
The 103 arrives from the factory pretty choked, thank you EPA. Get some air in and out, add fuel to match the increased airflow, and she'll run pretty good.
Along with your Bassani slip ons, try an A/C (Fuelmoto/Ness/SE) and tuner (PV/SEPST/TTS/PCV) with proper dyno tune. If that doesn't do it for ya add a cam like Andrews 57. After that the sky's the limit....
