Go with the PV. The TMax is such OLD tech. Here's an example. The Delphi ECM will pull timing when the ION sensing senses a 'knock event'. Tmax will ping the bike to death.

Ton more reasons, but this should be good enough for most.

If you pull into a dealer with a TMax you are totally completely 100% hosed.

The new firmware for the Power Vision allows the use of the Harley OEM narrow-band O2 sensors to "Auto-Tune" without any additional sensors or harnesses. It is called "Auto-Tune Basic" and after using it, I can't see buying the Auto-Tune Kit with wide-band sensors (Auto-Tune Pro). The "Basic" works just fine for me.

I absolutely agree with work_truk on this. I have run the Tmax, in fact I just recently took one off my bike. I went to the Power Vision and I am thoroughly impressed with it. The Tmax maps were never even close to what my build was and I always had to pull a ton of timing out to keep the bike from "pinging". With the PV you retain the knock sensors that are in the stock ECM and it will retard your timing if it starts to "ping". You can also get the PV to pull timing in areas where the detonation occurs regularly. I am running the Auto-tune system with it, but the cost of both of them together was still less than that of a Tmax. When I am satisfied with the tune I am considering installing the stock O2 sensors and running with them although it isn't necessary. Also as has been stated, you can tune with the stock O2 sensors using the Basic Tune mode. That really makes the PV much more economical than the Tmax.
