Default FLHT shift linkage bolt

Got a new shift link and I need 2 bolts to secure it.
I forgot to grab it and I'm out running errands anyone know the dia and length of bolts off the top of their head?

Thanks
Clif

If you got one of the more expensive chrome ones with heim joints it should have came with the bolts. I would head back to the shop check the packaging.

It is a fancy one but I purchased it online knowing it didn't come with bolts.

I think they are 5/16x24, that's what's on the stock rod. If they through the new linkage I think you'd need 1 or 1/12 in length. You'll need an acorn nut & lock washer for the front, lock nut for the back. Stainless of course!

Acorn nut has less threads than a jam nut & washers hinder the movement of the heim joint. Don't forget the blue locktite

Could only find 5/16x18 in SS so went ahead and got nylon lock nuts to match. $2 bolt run turned into $7 dang SS

Thanks again
