Just by chance have you checked for a intake leak? It would effect the bikes running more at the lower rpms than the higher rpms.
Take some WD 40 and spray it near, where the intake flange meets the heads, if the rpms change you have a leak. The dealer should have checked this when they changed the injectors altho. a exhaust leak will greatly affect how a twin cam runs also. a candle or smoke is a easy way of detection.

The WD 40 while its running, squirt a little around the intake flanges. and even the injectors. The intake is what the air cleaner is hooked to. It's easiest to see what I am talking about from the horn side of the bike. The intake splits like a Y-pipe to feed each head. you won't have to soak it spray a little then maybe a little more and listen for the rpms to change. you can also use some brake cleaner.

The exhaust, while its running take a candle and hold/move it around the exhaust flange, where it bolts to the head and watch the flame it shouldn't flicker or go out from a leak. could also blow smoke and see if it gets blown away quickly.

Ok, I got ya now, thank you. I will give that a try tomorrow and see if it causes it to change. Thanks for the information. If its a blown gasket that would be a shame....the bike is an 06 but it only has 6500 miles on it, lol......the 103 kit was installed at 1500 miles.

They are easy to leak, not exactly the best sealing system. Many have done them more than once after taking off the intake. I myself have had to do it more than once after removing my intake. and you don't necessarily have to work on it to have it leak on you. Not sure what side your brother put it down on but a good jar or bump to the air cleaner could do it too also. The heating up cooling down. ahh we're working with what they gave us. lol

I agree. He laid it down on that side and I did replace the ac cover due to scratches ....no dents but deep scratches.......that might account for it if the gasket is the issue. Hmmmm...if its not that big a deal I may be able to replace that myself.

Chief101, have you heard of the wiggle test?
Has to do with injector harness being to tight and thus shorting out when warm.Causing the sputter that was common back in the day. (2001-02)
Mine did this at 40000km.
From the left side stick a pencil or chop stick towards the wiring harness of the EFI unit and poke around while the bike is running and see if you can trigger the sputter.
Seriously there was a test from Mother HD on this and a fix too.

I am not sure if you have a tuner or not, but a few come with an auto-tune feature that automatically adjusts the proper air/fuel ratio after a short ride. At least it might give you a good starting point.

I don't think any canned map will help you out. There is no replacement for a competent tuner and dyno time.
