Happy with this first Harley. Can't see selling/trading it and think I am within $5/6,000 of getting her just right. (JRIs, tricking out the tourpak with led, latches, luggage rack; led lights; bananna boards, maybe then the wheels, etc). Who knows though...maybe I'll feel differently when she is "done." Cheaper then my other old addictions by a long shot.
"Hi, my names Okie, and I'm a Harley-a-holic". Some body up in the thread told you to buy one of each, that sort of sounds like a good idea. Look, what you need to do is rationalize........that ought to take the guilt away!! Remmember, lot a boys spend tons of money on hobbies. Gambeling, Ho's, getting high......At least your's is healthy and encludes your wife. You got that going for you.........ride on brother.
Well, you said it right from the git-go, your BORED. How you get UN-BORED I can't tell you but, having more than one toy to play with helps. It's no different than my grandsons being bored with a new toy after an hour of playing with it. I tell them go play with another toy and it usually works.
I dont think your any different than all of us... This site fosters upgrades and the need to keep adding... I heard there was a group for people like us, but have not been able to find it, Oh gotta go, I think the auction is ending on Ebay Im bidding on...
Started with a 2004 Fatboy , spent a fortune on it then sold it to buy a 2008 Ultra. Spent a fortune on it, loved it, got bored with it and sold it to buy a 2009 Street Glide. Did the 21/18 , extended bag, apehanger thang...missed my Ultra and went and bought a 2010 Ultra which I've spent a fortune on....love it to pieces but I'm getting bored again and have Road King fever now.......W.T.F. is wrong with me?
You need more then one bike! Seriously, instead of selling your Ultra go out and buy a RK, enjoy both bikes then when you get bored again sell one of them and buy your next dream. I have a friend that has at least 8 bikes in his garage at any given time. All different types for different moods, etc and it works out great for him.
In the last 5 years I have bought and traded 7 bikes. Just looking for the PERFECT one. I may have founf it with the Heritage I just bought, but who knows, that may be some one elses next year too.
It's really simple you live in an area like me that the weather sucks most of the year so to stay sane ya buy stuff which leads to more stuff.
Tinkering is half the fun for me. Plus you can't take it with you so spend it and when you run out of money just ask for a bailout
