up here in the great white north my wife and I where heated vest's so that we can prolong our riding in the fall. They work great except your wearing an extra piece of clothing under your jacket.I have been doing some research on how to turn your jacket liner into heated clothing with some simple wire a needle and some time.My question is has anyone on HDF tried this and if so what was the result.
A few years back I sent the liner out of my favorite jackket to Gerbings and they added heat. They did a fantastic job at a reasonable cost. They also put heat in the sleeves which is wonderful. I am sure you can find Gerbings on line. Good luck.

+++1 = did the same thing, works great and Gerbing are GREAT folks and their work is guaranteed for life
Also Take a look here, www.12voltclothing.com The liners are very lightweight and warm.
I just wear a T shirt under the liner and then any coat of choice depending on weather. Windbreaker, jacket etc. Works great. lifetime warranty.
