Default FM 107 Build complete

Just got back from the first 100 mile ride after putting getting the build done and running thru a few heat cycles.

Bike runs great and I just checked my trim values and the map Fuel Moto sent me is almost right on, very little adjustments so far in the trim tables.

Only had 2 minor issues putting everything back together, 1) small oil leak because I pinched the o-ring at the top of the push rod tube on the exhaust side of the rear cylinder (that adjustable push rod had to be re-adjusted once and I think I cut the o-ring then) and 2) I used the SE exhaust gaskets and had a major leak on the front cylinder. Went back to the stock tapered ones and no problems.

Can't wait to get more miles on this thing, it's a beast now.

Nice! I'm jealous! I had to settle for just a cam upgrade for now.

... very nice! I am looking forward to some dyno numbers if your planning a dyno tune. My FM 107" should be done next week ... all parts are in and she is being assembled now.

Don't plan on a Dyno tune, butt dyno is happy
Will be doing a compression check just to make sure all is good. If I can get one of those cheap dyno runs just to see what it is making I may do that just out of curiosity.

In reality, the butt dyno is all that truely counts, but I want to be sure that I am getting out all that she has in it ... that's where the dyno tune comes in.

What are the specs on your FM build?

Awesome! I've been contemplating a 107 fm build but can't wrench...seems like for the money you really can't go wrong. Local stealership wanted $1300 ish for a cam swap and the kit!!!......for $600 more and a days drive, I can have a larger engine, a dyno tune and sheet, (freaking expensive), better hp and torque and a better peace of mind, (dealing with fuel moto)....seems like a no brainer

When I started the build I already was running the Woods 6-6 cams and had upgraded the lifter to the woods directional, so I stuck with those for this build. Got the FM pistons and cylinders and went with a Big Boyz head port and valve job with MCR's. I stayed with the standard intake and exhaust valves. I should be around 10.25:1 on compression.

For me the extra money to bump up to the level B heads just wasn't worth it for what I was looking for. I do a lot of 2 up loaded riding and I was looking for that extra thump to pass and pull hills. After talking to several head shops including FM I decided the best bang for the buck was the Big Boyz route, the extra $$/hp and $$/Tq going with the something like FM's Level B or Hillsides Head work for me didn't make sense.

Depends on which suburb, my son lives up between King of Prussia and Pottstown and I get back pretty often. In fact was just there last night.
