Have you checked the owners manual to see if the headlights are powered by 2 fuses? Just a wild guess. Have you gotten into any wiring lately for an unrelated job ? There might be a relay in there also to check for clicking or a loose plug. Sorry, can't help with specifics as I own a different machine.

Had this happen once on my RK while on a ride. Road home with High Beam only. It was the high/low beam switch that went out, which was strange as I never used it (only used the high beam a couple of times since getting the bike). May have been from washing the bike and got some water in the housing, or, when mounting my cup holder bracket to that housing, it's possible I pinched a wire causing a short. Either way, switch was replaced under warranty, in my case.
