Here is what I am considering, I currently have Screaming Eagle 2 Slip-On pipes that came with my bike when I bought it used.
I have a set of Vance and Hines Long shots Slip-Ons that go to a softail. I am thinking of cutting the cross over holes and welding them shut on the Vance and Hines then welding on 1 foot extensions onto them so that they can match up to current mids.
Anyone ever done this before? Where can I get exhaust extensions locally? Exhaust shop?
I have welded both mine and brothers to make true duals. it will work fine you just have to be careful as to how close to the head your weld is as the heating and cooling can cause it to crack over time

Cool thank you! The welds will be 2.5 feet from the heads.
Ive found exhaust pipe is easier to weld than most metal. You can get various pipe sections from Napa, AutoZone, etc. Try to get stainless pipe. Good for you, making what you have work vs. buying new. Joe
