Thanks a lot for taking the time to do that, friend. I was checking my phone for updates while I was out on the road and saw your previous post. I pulled off to the side of the road and right there the problem was solved. I started a new log and ran the bike for another 30-40mins. Re-flashed the ECM with the new tune and it was instantly smoother. It was darn close already I thought with the FM map. But something smoothed out. Acceleration and shifting was easier I believe.
I'm still learning all this stuff...I'm sure it'll never end.
I have run Auto tune several times now and eachtime seemed successful but when I do a compare in WinPV there is absolutly nodifference.
I started with the map from Fuel Moto. I ran a data log for about 15 minutes. I had a lot of RED boxes on the screen unlikethe videos I have seem with all green numbers. I hit exit on the datalog screen (with the bike still running) and savedthe tune to an empty slot. I then shut the bike off and flashed the newtune. I ran the process again only thistime using the saved Autotune as the starting point. When done with both tunes and flashes I connect the PV to my PC and do acompare. No differences at all.
Anyone have any ideas? Why do I see so many red squares when data logging and why don't I seeany differences in WinPV? When I comparethe two maps sent by FM I can see differences.
Sorry I posted this in the touring section. One more thing is that when I stopped data logging it said "0% difference and 7% max" yet the screen had a lot of red squares .

The squares turn red when they have had enough hits to datalog, it doesn't necessarily mean there is a change. Before you do a tuning session are you doing a reset on the trims? This is on page 4-50 in the WinPV User's Guide. When you do the compare are you doing this in the VE tables? That is what changes when you auto-tune. If there are no changes it may be that it is a good tune.

Thanks $toneCold
I didn't know that about the red but I did have my WinPV in Basic mode and did not see the VE tables. After setting the option to Pro mode I can now see the changes made.
I just installed my PC Vision after having a PC5 and at the very end when they ask you to turn off the ignition for 10 seconds, I didn't select OK first. Did it still load the map? Or maybe I should re-load..

I did that to but I really don't think it makes a difference. At that point the only important thing is that you power it off.
