Since reading all these posts on Ape Hangers I had to chime in...Am I the only one that thinks apes on a EG/SG look stupid?

 

Like my old man was fond of saying... Kid, if we all liked the same stuff, we'd all be chasing your poor mom.

 

I'm not a fan either, but everyone has their own opinions...

 

I'm with you. On any other bike I'd say yeah, but a full dresser?

 

Ha i just did the opposite and lowered my bars so Instead of a Bar hopper..Ive got a Cafe Racer...
The only problem is now i can barely see over the fairing...

I just helped a friend put on new bars on a RK that are only 5 inches taller. Done purely for the comfort.

Recently helped another friend put a set of 12 Apes on a SG - not my style but thats what he wanted. He said a 21 front is the next item.

A few blacked out bikes show up in a magazine, people starting doing theirs.
Someone does a set of 18 wheels & another ads a 21 to the front, then its 23, etc
One changes his speakers & another spends $$ on an entire new system.

Doing stuff to a HD is a time honor tradition. Some good & others not so...

And it goes on & on ....beauty is in the eye of the beholder
