Ghost pipe, fake pipe, whatever you want to call it. To those who like the classic look of a bagger with dual exhaust it makes perfect sense. When I spend your money to buy it, then, and only then, can you worry about what is on my bike.

I totally don't care so I'm wondering why I'm replying but I hear all these claims about added power and at the same time have seldom heard of anyone who mods their pipes and doesn't do additional work at the same time be it cams, a/c, a tune etc. Love to see a real test where nothing else is done except swapping the pipes.

I agree. From what I have heard, the gain in performance is negligable.

Each to their own, i really, really could care less what other folks do with their bikes. But i do find it strange the guys that spend thousands and thousands doing performance mods to any harley, let alone touring bikes. Sorry, it's still a big heavy slow bike. I guess it's faster than other harleys, but it still aint fast. Like i said, spend away, won't hear any arguing outa me, but personally, if i wanted a fast touring bike, there's way, way, WAY better choices than a harley. But i don't, i love my road king. But it aint fast.

My bike Dyno Numbers

Stock was
78 HP
93 Torque

AND with DD FAT CATS 2 into 1 & TTS TUNER & TUNED (& nothing else modded)

93 HP
111 Torque

so now you know my results

I wonder what a performance 2 into 1 into 2 (and tuner & tune) would have dyno'ed at ... vs mine (2 into 1) (?)

you may be right

lastly - my bike runs mighty fine

Likes others, to each his own. Makes no never mind to me. Great comment about when I use your money to buy stuff for my bike then you can worry about what I put on it. That was classic kruzer. I get all of the points, arguments and thoughts... baggers look better with two pipes, extended bags without two pipes is an issue, etc. I have seen some nice extended bags running a 2-1 without the ghost but it required a custom mod. I too considered running a ghost with my D&D Fat Cat but decided against it. I trust my indy and he says 2-1 offers better performance. I'm happy with my setup as I know others are happy with theirs. It's all good.

I loved my D&D 2-1 on my Dyna but wanted the looks of duals on my SG.

Had I known about ghost pipe option I probably would of got another D&D.

We do so many things to our bikes for looks I don't see how running a ghost pipe is any different.
