Default Batwing install help PLEASE!

I am mocking up the install of my Electra Glide batwing, and it seems my handlebars are touching the fairing. Just doesn't seem right. I was hoping someone here could post a pic of theirs so I could see if I need to change the handlebar mount... or something.

Here's what I got:

You need different risers, or bars if they are in the right place.... comfortable.. for you. Or you need to loosen your clamps and roll the bars back some

I did loosen the clamps, however, the inner fairing is pushing down against the handlebar clamps; moving the bars back or forward doesn't help.
Seems to me, the fairing should not be resting on the handlebar clamps.

the parts numbers for the 2001 RK and FLHTC handlerbar risers are the same ( 56149-88b/56151-88b)

so I think the risers are ok--- could it be the poly bushings have the risers that much higher than stock?

and you may need different bars- are those your RK bars on there?

the center section may be too narrow

just looking at my FLHTC the center section on the fairing needs to come in closer the the gas tank.

can you get it aligned up top, then try aligning the bolts on the triple trees ?

So you think it might be the handlebar bushings? I guess that's possible. I think the bars need to go down at least a half inch.

Those are the Harley High Handlebars, I believe they are made for the Road King. P/n 99594-00.

All the alignment is dependent on the four bolts where it mounts to the triple trees, on the outside of the forks. With those four bolts in, there is no adjustment.

Ok. It may be the bars are too narrow. I'll have to see if I can get a glimpse of some bikes at the dealer.
Thanks!
I still don't think it should hit the handlebar clamps.
