Starter prob
Hey fellas have a starter prob I could use some help on. I have a 99 elect. Glide. 88 twin cam. Anyway I push my start button and all my jackshaft does engage but it doesn't spin. What gives? Any advise would be appreciated. Thx bros!
check battery ( load test) and cable connections first.
does your model also have a ground strap from the inner primary to the frame ?- check and clean those connections too.
some also run a ground wire from the starter bolt to the battery.
once you have that sorted- full voltage and current, then the rest can be examined if the problem persists
IF you ht the button and hear whining from the starter and it is not turning- STOP...the whining is the windings getting ready to burn up
