Most shopping centers these days have surveillance cameras outside. Have you checked to see if the one were you were does? The little bastard basically did a hit & run and needs to be taught a lesson. In court, video footage rarely lies.
Glad you were not injured and you taught me a lesson. If I ever get rear ended I will get the license plate numbers first thing, thanks for posting, hope you get your bike going soon.
I was discussing this situation with my boyfriend today and we came up with not only snapping a pic of the other drivers license plate but get one of their face too. Then if they do take off you'll be able to track them down and prove to the police who the driver was.

This is a good lesson. If it's me though, the traffic is gonna wait till I'm good and ready.

I like your way of thinking. I pray that no one needs to do this, but people just don't pay attention enough, and cell phone scare the hell out of me.
.. got rear-ended by punk a** teenager at a stop sign tonight.....As I pulled into a parking spot, the POS sped off.
Wouldn't have happened like it did to you if this were 50 years ago when I got started in all this bike stuff.
What you see here is a snapshot of today's society, and the way people are totally in it for themselves, screw everybody else. No sense of personal responsibility, no accountability for anything they've done (it's always SOMEBODY else's fault)......all that crap. I learned that if/when I screw up like this guy did, I OWN it, and I do whatever's necessary to make it right.
It's a real sad commentary on the state of society today. And I bet this loser was on his cellphone, or "texting", or similar. I'd bet on it.
