Just wondering about a little vibration on my bike,just picked up the scooter over the winter,And had the motor build up alittle,Anyway I have never rode the bike before,So I have about 500 plus mikes on it,the motor runs great but I have some vib's in the bars going up in speed(front wheel bearings?) On the way down from speed I feel it in the boards (bearing on tranny output shaft) been told about both by other owners of 2009 touring bikes,About 16000 miles on the bike,My 06 bagger,08 baggers don't do this and both have motor work also.I also going to put new tires on front and rear also new rotors and pads on the front because of alittle brake pulsating when using the front brakes.Any Ideas or do I junk it out

 

My money is on the tires. Mine had a vibe in the corners and new tires fixed it.

There's been a lot of scuttlebutt around here regarding front bearing failure on the 09's. I'm pretty sure mine don't sound quite right (like they're rolling dry) but they don't show any visual signs of leaking yet. Others have shown pictures of ruptured seals. I'm keeping an eye on them since I'll be doing tires before long, at which time I'll replace them as preventive maintenance.
