Sunday 4-28 my wife and I took a nice 221 mile afternoon spin of my 012' Ultra. We rode upstate N.Y. Rt 28 for 120 mile looped around to Rt 23 and headed back South East to our home in Highland N.Y. Gone about six hours stopped to eat lunch at dinner for about 1hr and the stopped on the way home to fill up the bike. After we pulled into the drive my wife who's been everywhere with me in the 26 years we been married said she could not wait for me to install my JRI 13" B shocks, She said the rear of the bike hit a bump that hurt her neck , her teeth hurt.. I admit I let some air out of the rear shocks but I hit a good size dip and I felt it too. Anyway, I plan on installing them this coming Saturday, with the help a a buddy who runs a suspension set-up shops for race bikes. Hope to have a ride report back in a week or so.
Sounds like a nice ride There's no better therapy than a relaxing/scenic ride.
What did you have your rear shocks set at? I set mine at Max (50 psi I believe) when I have a rider, especially if the TourPak is mounted. When it's just me and no TourPak I run about 35-40 psi in the shocks.
