I'm about to install nicely powder-coated hand control housings, clutch perch, and master cylinder on my 09 SG w/ cruise. (Bought them on the forum and paid forum sponsor PowderPro $168 for the p-coating plus m-cylinder rebuild. PP did a beautiful job.) I am not changing the switch covers. I've been through the related threads (that bad?) and got the heflpful hints. I do have the factory manual, but would like to read more.
Can anyone direct me to HD's installation instructions for these items, or ... could someone send me a copy of their instructions? Yes, I know standing at the scanner is not fun, so I will gladly find a way to return the favor.
Just to see, I went to HD. They have changed the website. The parts you are installing, there are no instructions. I did find some other parts that do have instructions. Hope someone helps you out. Good luck.
Troy wondered what I'm up to. Bike's vivid black, including inner fairing. I don't like the look of the satin housings against all the gloss black and decided to go with powder coat gloss housings, etc instead of chrome. Gonna do the rear master cylinder, too. Probably no one but me will see that.

Thanks All Aces. I think I'm good. I've the service manual and from that discussion it looks pretty basic, although I like to read as much as I can before diving into projects.
My bro lives in Charlotte and rides a mighty snappy 01 RK classic. I have a funny story from our trip to Tail O Dragon last summer. I'm new; he's not. After riding the route up and back I was fussing about the fact that he was riding with his feet on the highway pegs. I was saying stuff like "if you use both brakes and sit more aggressively you can go faster." He listened kindly. I fussed more. He finally said, "I'm going as fast as I think you can go." He was right. I was riding as hard as I dared. Feet down, all leaned over, barely keeping up.
