Not sure about a grommet? I know it runs from the MC down the bar between the lower inner fairing panel and the bar. Its how its ran properly inside the fairing that matters? I ran mine the best route I thought possible and my whole upgrade is done already I test ran the bike yesterday for a little short run everything seems fine so far I will continue to test ride and keep an eye on everything for awhile till I feel 100% confident that everythings good to go.

On my '10 it goes through the grommet on the triple tree clamp and over the top of the triple clamp. Mine is an ABS model, so it has another line, but it would be the same route. Down to the brake block to the two for the caliper.

Perhaps the most the most risk averse thread I've seen in a long time.

You need a picture? From the m/c to the inner fairing? Inside the fairing to the manifold at the trippele tree? From the tripe tree to the calipers?

LOL, yeah a picture!? Look, my hardline runs into the fairing through a rubber grommet right where the RH handle bar enters the lower cover. The new brake hose is about three times the diameter of the original metal line. It ain't gonna go in the same spot unless I get creative with an exact-o-knife Sport. So, splain to me how the rubber line runs down and into the lower cover or along the fairing or where ever.... or if you happen to have one handy, a picture would be great! Course, I could always just duct tape it to something but I was hoping to get it to look at least a little tinsy winsy bit like a factory type job.
