I thought about Delrin but quite a few had asked for Alum. I thought I'd try that first, also I was a little worried that Delrin might break, I machine it quite often, killer mat. and very easy to machine too.
No plating, it's T-6 6061 figured it should hold up pretty well, the mounting kit was a pure royal pain in the A$$ Fit good on my bracket and no rattles I think this might do the trick
I think you may be on to something here... Think about running off another set and I will be willing to give them a try also. Plating could aways come later as a finishing touch.

I think any mat'l harder than the original bushing would be an improvement.
My sister inlaw almost fell of the back of my broinlaws bike because the stock bushings had worn out.She was leaning against the back rest.
Sometimes the bushings have to be modified depending on what shocks are being used and the type of docking hardware.
1FLTRI4MEthese bushing are for the 2 up tour pak detachable, the front bushing at the shock for the solo tour pak and sissy bar is a different size, sorta surprised me on that one![sm=confused06.gif]
