Default Docking Hardware Bushings

Have any of you guys found anything better than the plasticbushings that come with the docking hardware???

I have searched everything on here hoping someone had posted something about this but couldn't find anything. Mine seem to be wearing, making the tour pack rattle and I would like to replace them with something better than what they come with. Any input or ideas would be appreciated!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!!

This is exactly why I'm going back to stock mount, those bushings wear out in about 3000 miles. I'm putting my tour pack back where it belongs...

When i used the detachable pass back rest, the bushing (plastic points) were never a issue, once I added the detachable tour pak rack it bacame a issue with in 700 miles the first time, replaced all the plastic points $32.00 for 4 of them, within another 600-700 miles they were worn again enough were i thought the tour pak might fall off the mounts, the last time I replace the detachable mount with the standard bolt on rack, still going strong and doesnt have the worn feeling the other rack set up did

It's a shame that MOCO puts such a premium price on these & then uses sub-grade materials. I've been looking for aftermarket docking point bushings for awhile now & haven't found a source. IMO if anyone comes up w/somethingthey'll stay busy making em.

There might be some better plastics to use such as Torlon,Turcite,Delrin etc.
If you know a machinist, they me be able to make some for you.

Funny you should mention this. I think I may mill some out of UHMW and see how that works.

Ultra High Molecular Weight! Really strong and wear resistiant plastic (polyethelyene)...
