I order a fuel pak off ebay and they screwed me. I have a 2009 street glide and they sent me the fuelpak for a 2012 glide. Any way to make this one work?!? Ofcoarse no returns!
the gentleman from V&H said they cant guarantee it to work with any models other than the ones specified. I assumed it wouldn't work but hoped 1 of the technical guros on HD forms was just going to say it had different mounts or something that wouldn't matter.
I know the fuelpacs for new model year bikes have more settings on it than the older version of fuelpacs so there could be some issues there. The older model had something 35 input channels and the newest has 50 I believe. So your looking at some possible ecm issues and I would not risk that.
Honestly if me I would sell it and get the fl-vied's from dk custom for 100 and change.
I have no issue with the fuelpac and have one on my streetbob and its great but unless you plan on going with cam's etc... the fl vied will do all you will want and if you do plan on going cams he fuelpak may not be enough to handle the upgrades.
Just a thought, and way to say some coin since you just bought the wrong part.

Wasn't there a return period? Ebay has buyer protection also.
I bought a LM2 data logger and it had a broken connector that was not photographed in the auction. I contacted the seller the same day I received it, and they never responded. I called ebay and they said send it back and the would deal with it if the seller didn't do anything. I ended up getting my $$ back.
Along with what GaugeMod said, definitely file a claim with eBay. You most likely paid with PayPal, you can file a claim for item different then described. It's very easy and likely to side in your favor as long as you read the sellers description correct.

Mike, this post will become a which tuner is best and why not buy a Fuel pac. For the money, the Fuel pak does what is advertised to do. If you purchased it with a C/Card they can do a chargeback and if you paid by Pay Pal, you have recorse there also. Is there more to this story? Why the wrong one? What is the V&H model # you have? 61009a etc
