The Formotion clocks are great, with illuminated face. I have one mounted on the left controls. I've had the same one on my Sporty, then Dyna and now RKC.

I do like to forget about time when riding, but sometimes you really got to know!

The clock on the console is useless to me. It requires looking straight down and then trying to focus in on the clock. Too much time if your moving. The Formotion is a split second glance and peripheral vision is still on the road. Battery lasts about 2-3 years; $10 to replace. I also like that the white face now matches the bike; a nice little bonus.

Seriously!?! Do you have the same problem with the speedometer?

I think the forklock is ugly and got a cheap ebay cover with clock. Works and looks fine.

When I had my Road King, I used this one.

Well built, easy to use.

Yea, as a matter of fact I am serious. And yes, the speedo isn't great either. I much prefer the fork mounted speedo and tach on my old Sporty and Dyna which I could easily see without taking my eyes off the road.

Are you able to check your speed and watch the road simultaniously with your RK console mount speedo? Please teach me your secret.

Glad this thread was started. I saw the fork lock mounts. Didn't know they had them for Road Kings. I have a handlebar mounted clock now by clocks4bikes but just went to their site and ordered one for the fork lock. Their customer service is great. I've ordered from them for two Road Kings and two Triumphs.

One more thing. I agree (obviously) with those who like a clock in addition to the clock in the speedo. That way I can keep the speedo set on "miles to empty" and have access to the time, without having to push a button. May be silly to some, but makes sense to me and a few others.

Sun come up...morning start to ride.
Sun overhead...lunchtime stop to eat.
Sun going down...dinner and time to sleep.
