They look nice, but I don't know if I trust that.
You can beat that price when He has a sale. Look at the pics on the RJ's site, they cover that opening totally. The cable ties are extra for safety, mine have been on for two years with no problem. You can bend 'em to tweak the fit where they don't rub or touch anything. That part of the tank member actually sits on mine, I don't see how they could just fall off.
I had mine before I did the seat mod, and after I was really glad I did. I would not like looking at the gap and exposed bolts that mod produces.
Outstanding quality. And there is nothing loose or moving about them.
They are metal on the engine side, covered on the outside, the jeweled studs on mine match the fizz on my Root Beer bike.
Do what you want to do, just sharing my experience with 'em...

So you're saying that everything that is exposed in the pictures in the first post is covered with the RJS Originals? What do they usually sell for when he has a special?

You say you've had your seat modded too. Was it the same one I did, and do you have any pictures that show the deflectors with the modded seat?

Bump to see if you have any pictures of your seat and your mid frame deflectors. Very interested to see them.

It will cover the exposed frame back up, but it looks like it will rub the heck out of the side covers.

Does anybody have any other ideas on what to use to cover the frame up, or experience with the Crotch Cooler to give insight if it scratches the side cover? Thanks!

Where is the stock plastic cover that goes over the bolts? I let another shop work on my bike and they lost mine, should have made them buy a new one but that's water under the bridge.

I wouldn't call cable ties flimsy at all...been working in COMM since 1988 and these little plastic ties are tough as wire. Installed RJR's shields on my FLHS and they're holding strong. Here's mine w/similar MCC mod so you can see the look.

Prefect. Thank you very much for posting those. Exactly what I wanted to see. While pricy, those look like the cleanest option to cover the frame.

Good question. Besides the selling dealer, I'm the only one that has worked on the bike, and I've never seen the plastic cover you are referring to. I sent the seat in, MCC never saw the bike.

It should look like this. Im not sure what the piece is called but it hides the bolts and comes on the bikes.
