Default Front Suspension - Need Help

I have the progressive monotubes installed on my 2007 Street Glide. I am wanting to change the lowering from 2" to 1". I believe the shop that originally did it lowered 2" and I don't like the feel.

My issue: I've got the fork lowers off but I can't seem to get the 6mm bolt on the bottom of the fork lower to come loose. It seems like the internals are spinning with it and I have no way to bust it loose.

Anything I'm missing, or perhaps a little trick to get me moving again on this project?

You tried an impact wrench? Might make a difference.

Normally the trick is to loosen the 6 MM before you pull the forks off because there is still tension on them at that time.

Now an impact is the next best bet.

Finally, you could drill the heads off and reassemble with new bolts when you're done..

Impact you need the speed it provides keep the tubes together so you have spring tension on them

I can reinstall them and hit it with an impact wrench. Hopefully that will work.
