the cruise should still work,i had a problem with my cruise dropping out and disconnected the wire to test it it did work it just won't shut of when you roll the throttle forward,you'll have to use the brakes.

Cool man i apperciate it! I hardly ever used the roll off feature, habit was to always two finger the front brake enough to get the cruise off. Been worried to death thinking i was gonna have to go through the send back cables process! Weathers nice i wanna ride! Ty for the info folks
Yes, the cruise will still work, but GET THE RIGHT CABLE!! There will be a time you will really want the roll-off switch to work!
Yeah, I agree; in a panic stop, you might instinctively roll the throttle back and then take another second or two to get to a brake. I'd want the correct cable on there, just in case...

Your bike will keep on the throttle when you are wanting to slow down. A certainty to get into trouble I would think.
