why all the panic? cars don't have a roll off feature on cruise control... and in a panic situation most of us hit the brakes.
True, but it is a back up safety feature that is nice to have. Slim chance that this won't happen, but let's say the brake won't disengage the cruise. Then you have a racing engine. On two wheels nice to have all safety features working. Be safe to wait for correct part, IMO.

You obviously haven't read any of the car tire or single side front rotor threads... We love to tell people how quickly they will die in a fiery crash if anything "safety" related has been altered and that we would never do anything so reckless.
I'm surprised that I'm still here with my pre-'07 clutch lever that won't let the bike start in gear if I happen to get stuck in a busy intersection with a dead motor and a city bus bearing down on me (I didn't intentionally do it, but I bought chrome levers 6 years ago not knowing the difference)...

LOL... gonna get the "dark side" car tire people stirred up here.

All cars have a cancel button which you can press/pull without taking your hands of the steering wheel. Can you say the same of your scoot?
There is no harm having extra safety available for when you need it.
u won't have a racing engine, pull the clutch and the ecm sees the speed rpm difference and shuts the cruise. thats if both brake switches happen to fail.

If both brakes fail to turn the cruise off, I would think most people would pull the clutch in or as a last resort shut the bike of with the kill switch or ignition/key switch.
