I got a quote from one place and he said between $500.00 and $600.00 to redo the seat????? I think that maybe he wants to cover it with gold??? Uuuuuhhhhh ...... NO!!!!!

do you do most of your riding 1 or 2 up? different weight of passenger vs. rider could be putting a stress on it. the seat was furnished by the low bidder and was built to minimum specs. it really is cosmetic, just be glad that it is not a mechanical problem.

My 07 UC did the same thing, just on a different seam this June. Upholstry shop my dealer recommended was $125 with better grade of vinyl. Mine was from shrinkage from the Florida sun. I must be lucky and have a HD butt. I like the stock seat aand as much wear as it gets it lasted 6 years.
