Hey guys just trying to get opinions on this kit.....builder put it together for me and just trying to get an idea on how you guys think it will perform:
power vision tuner
106 BIG BORE KIT 570 S&S cam
D&D FAT CAT exhaust
Arlen Ness Twin-Sucker Air Cleaner
just wondering about this setup and especially the cam.....I do mostly solo riding but would like to have more power for myself as well as when I have a passenger with me. Usually I keep the RPMS to around 5k.....looking for something streetable with good manners.....not looking for something to buck and surge all over the place when Im cruising around town at lower RPMs....any help or suggestions would be appreciated as well as to why you're suggesting what youre suggesting over my listed build....THANKS AGAIN!

That sounds like a good overall build but it really comes down to what the tuner can do.
If he has done a lot of builds using that set up and is comfortable tuning it then go for it.
I'm personally saving up my money and am gonna take my bike to Fuel Moto to have them do their 107 build.
I dont know what your financial situation is but you might think about just doing the pipes, a/c and cams with a good tune. Should open her up pretty good for you.
What bike are you on? If you already have the 103, the extra 3 cubes arent really gonna make much difference without some headwork.

Its a 2013 Street Glide.....yes it has the 103....so youre saying to truly benefit from the 3 extra cubes head work is a MUST....CNC im guessing?

Thats just my opinion. You are gonna hear a lot of different voices here. Let some other more knowledgable people chime in before you make your decision.
Personally though, your 103 is a good base. I think you should skip the big bore. Do everything else, and instead of investing in the 106, have your heads machined.
You will see and feel better results than if you added the big bore without headwork.
Like i said, i'm not sure of your financial situation but that will be a very streetable machine that will be a beast when you feel like unleashing it.

Stay at current 103" and get head work/cams to match your riding style. Lots of good porters can get you good results for less than $600..

When I first went with pipes, Ac and dropped in 255 cams she was like a new bike.
Then I did the 106, S&S heads, 583 easy start cams, and the best way I can put it is I always have pull away power now. Even at 80 mph I can pull away like nobody's business.
She works well but honestly for what I paid was crazy high. I had won some cash in Atlantic city so it was almost half paid for by Caesars.

Take the 106 money and have the heads done! Or save that money all together? Late heads flow pretty good, ya may like it? I'm not a fan of S&S cams in heavy baggers but many have had good results. It really comes down to the builder/tuner and what ya want to end up with. Good Luck!

You can learn more by taking a look at S&S's website. I have a 585 cam in my 107" which is just great in my Glide, when fully loaded.
