I'm looking for some good advice in performance upgrade for my 2010 Ultra Limited. I got the Stage 1 SE Heavy Breather, V&H Big Shot Dresser Duels, SE Street Tuner.
I was considering the stage 4 but I don't want that much! Maybe cams? SE254E or SE255? Opinions?
That all depends on how much you are trying to get out of your bike. What kind of riding do you mostly do? A lot of solo time or are you riding two-up a lot? What rpm range do you usually run in? You will get some very good answers here but first we need to know exactly what you are looking for.
I do about half and half either two up or solo. Most of my riding is hwy miles and between 80-85mph and 3000-3500 rpm. I'm looking for more overall hp/tq. More so for passing. I'm not looking for racing, but I want it when I need it and not half to wait for it. If that makes any sense.
Welcome to HDF from the UK. There are a zillion answers to your question. You need to narrow down your search, because as time passes, you will get an increasing number of options - never ending!
IMHO your best option is to visit a local tuning shop and talk through what you want. Be guided by their advice. If you visit a second tuning shop you can be certain of being given quite different advice, although on the road both suggestions may give similar results.
We have some sponsors who are top tuners and can supply everything you could possibly need! So a further option is to contact one of them. Call in the Tech section and take a look through recent tuning threads. Of course, if you want to be certain of having enough extra performance, you can always go 124".......
There are lots of options. Ya need to have a goal and a plan. A cam will give the biggest bang for the buck. But it must match other mods. If ya are thinking pistons, big bore, headwork... Ya need to do some research. If ya don't plan on doing the work yourself ya need to check local builders and pick one ya trust.
