i spoke to the owner ? of str8 ,daniel ,and he tells me that on 07 you pay full pricr and that there is no rebate if you return the old mount .the reason is that harley changed the pass. foot mount with a newer design and thus he cannot use the mount on other applications .
so , we are stuck.
and yes, you have to remove the footpeg mount and install the one he sends to you otherwise it will not fit.if you have an06 or earlier you get $50 back when you return the mount that you removed.
Hey guy's, tell me, I'm going from a 2001 Road Glide (3/4" rear axle, old style swingarm) to a 2007 Street Glide (1" axle, new beefer swingarm) Is this modification as nessisary with the newer bike's compared to the older bikes? I thought these change's in the 2002 model year addressed this (Wobble issue) Rich A
I hope nobody mind's, but I'm going to repeat my question. Is this modification as nessisary on the 2002 and later bike's as it is on older touring line with the smaller rear axle and swingarm. I thought HD made these change's to correct that "imfamious long sweepin' wobble" Thx, Putt
Hi all, I have been interested in a rear stabilizer for a while and came to the conclusion that the str8 was better for me due to it does not mount to the cross member, I have a Rivco center stand that I will be installing and it mounts to the cross member. I haven't purchased the str8 yet due to I missed a group buy on another site "CVO forum" someone there spoke with Daniel and worked out a deal if purchasing 6 or more he would sell the str8 @ $375.00 / ea. with the a $50.00 return when he receives the stock mount, when I seen that price I said I would hold out till another group buy was set up, maybe we could set up a group buy?
I use a TRUE-TRACK and have no clearence problems on my '07 Ultra. It was the first upgrade I did to my bike. The oil tank mount will also lower you oil temp. as it acts as a "heat sink".
I also use a center stand with it. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
ff & Putt, I contacted Dan @ Ride str8 http://www.ridestr8.com/and theprocedure for the group buy purchase is as follows: Once the group buy is put together (min. of 5 units or more), Dan @ str8will sell the stabilizers or any other Ride-Str8 products at Dealers price. For example: Retail price on the SBK2002ON-A (stabilizer) is $480.00, the group buy price is $375.00 and if the "02-06" OEM bracket is returned (applicable only to this kit number)thenet cost is $325.00 ,No core exchange on 2007 models. 2007 owners pay full price $375.00 There are some conditions for a group buy transaction. A member of the group will be assigned as a "group leader". The leader will send a list with the name and email address of the group members to Dan @ Ride str8. Preferable a single money order is tobe mailed for the total payment. If payment is sent individually some delay for payment verification may occur, but will be accepted. A single box containing all the individually packaged kits will be shipped to the group leader, The group leader will be responsible for the distribution of the kits to the different group participants. Once the kit has been installed, the group members that decide to send back to Ride str8the "02-06" OEM bracket can do so, within 30 days from date of purchase. Upon receipt at Ride str8 of all the brackets that the individual participants decide to return for the rebate, Dan @ Ride str8 will send to the group leader single checks by certify mail for the rebate amount. Then the net cost per kit will be $325.00 The group leader will be responsible to distribute the $50.00 rebate amount to the individual group members that participated in returning the OEM bracket core exchange. At this time I'm in for two (2) and if both of you are in then that is a total of four(4) we will need an additional commitment to meet the minimum quantity. get back to me if still interested. Larry
