appointment made two and 1\2 weeks ago. 13 SG, stage 1 air, SEPT, Rush true duals with 2 inch baffle to go with the 4 inch Big Louie. Dropped bike off last night. Dealer stated it will be ready around noon today. They called mid afternoon stating that the True Duals are back ordered and no idea when available. Thanks! They had already put on the new air cleaner. Options for tomorrow. Put on some Rinehart duals they have to go with the Rush Big Louie. Same price as the Rush True Duals. Gut the cat for free, tune and wait for the Rush True Duals. Put stock air back on and wait for everything to come in. Is the rinehart deal a good one, should I wait with the gutted cat? find a new dealer? Nice folks but not well organized.
They couldn't have let you know the true duals were backordered when you took the bike to them to be dropped off? Yep, I would be pi$$ed too.
The right thing for them to do would have been to pick up a phone and call to let you know before you went to the trouble of getting the bike to them. "Nice people" doesn't apply here.
Always wait for what you want. You'll second guess yourself if you don't.
I would consider finding a new dealer, but eh whatever if they're b.o. For one they are b.o. For the next. If they have them in stock that's another story.
My question is if they didn't have all your parts why didn't they reschedule?
probably best to wait. Yep they could have called. Should have called. Parts folks don't talk to service folks. Lose a few customers and maybe management will notice.
You have every right to be pi$$ed, I would be also, but, will you notice a difference between the performance, fit/finish and quality between the Rush or Rhineharts, probably not. But it is your bike, get what you want, if it were me, but it's not, I would take the Rhinehart's, but I'd make them discount at least 15-20% for my aggrivation and their stupidity!

Go with MGS. The fit and finish is excellent and the sound is spot-on. I'm sure any "Stage-1" will give you an increase in power but my package from MGS (True Duals, Big Sucker, Power Vision- with their custom tune) really made my 103" a beast. It pulls hard from any RPM (within reason, of course).
