Default Trailering a Street Glide

For those of you who have trailered your Street Glide, where on the bike do you tie down to on the front? Keep in mind, I have fork mounted wind deflectors. I've heard the crash bar but I'm not sure about that. Thanks for any tips, advice, etc.

Default Tie Down Points

I use choke straps (short straps that the tie downs fasten to) Go around the frame downtube and up over the crashbar, then down to tiedown..gets the tiedown away from paint and chrome parts..with high as possible tie off point..never had any problems with this arrangement, also use two in the rear off the footpegs backward angle also with the choke straps..Scooter

I tie down on forks by the fender with a soft strap. One on each side. One strap thru the wheel on the front. I also have one strap on the rear wheel pulling the bike back. I agree with the wheel chock. I have the Harley chock its really a condor that I paid more money for. ... long story. ....

Having a chock is a big plus. After that tie off on the forks at the fender mount. Stay off the frame, triple tree, engine guard or anywhere else that will compress the front shocks. Tying off at the fender mount on the frame will allow your suspension to ride freely instead of compressing it and not allow slack to develop in your straps. On the passenger mounts just enough pressure to keep the bike from hopping and ALL strap pressure should be forward into your chock.
