When my father first took me for rides on his Electra Glide I couldn't reach the passenger pegs. I was only 4 so he put me on the gas tank. That was in San Diego back in the late '50s.
I have a Five yr old grandson that will definitely be a future Hog owner one day. It makes his day for me to ride him around the neighbor hood, no fear at all. Does anybody know if there is an age limit on kids riding with you on the road? I know 5 is young, but I truly believe he would do just fine going down the road a ways. I live in Va.
I too have never heard of a state with a minimum age law. When my son was 4 he used to ride in front of me on the tank. That way he was held in by my arms. Had to order a special helmet for him. Anyway we were at a parade on the bike and I asked one of the motorcycle cops if it was against the law for him to ride in front of me. He said no and thought it was a smart move. When he got 5 or 6 then I let him ride behind me. He is now 12 and takes road trips with me on our RGC.
