I wouldn't use it there, as it is a very slick synthetic with lots of friction modifiers. I use RP in the engine but use Castrol GTX 20w50 (fossil engine oil) in the primary, which is good enough for that low-tech area. You wouldn't need RP on a door hinge, and the primary isn't much more complex or needy of a high-tech oil. Any cheap fossil engine oil should work as well there.
