My INDY informed me that he sents out the heads to California to get them diamon cut but that the wait will be anywhere from 5 to 6 weeks
Does anybody know anyone locally by the Chicagoland area who does a professional job? I've heard of some guy in Dixon, Illinois who supposedly does an awesome job but I can't locate the company Since my bike will be down for a few weeks getting some major engine work done, I figured that now is the time to do it... The faster I get the process done, the better
I'd be careful going to Stroker's in Dallas. I've heard a couple of horror stories about their customer service. You never really know the straight story, but forewarned is forearmed. Good luck.
if i were looking for a used bike, and it had 'diamond cut' (by that company) heads, i would keep looking. some people like the look, but i have a real problem with the fact that they took something that had been being done since the late 60s early 70s and then patented it. then sent out cease and desist orders to everybody and their brother threatening them with legal action if they didn't quit.
some of y'all may not have a problem with it, even say that it is capitalism at it's finest, and thats fine. i do, so i won't patronize them.
