I took the ecm off of my 2012 FLHTK when I put a race tuner on it. It came off the bike with 16 miles on it. To make a very long story short, I no longer own the bike but have the ECM still. Is this Ecm usable on other bikes? If so does the year, model, motor size have anything to do with exchanging it out. I appreciate the info in advance...
It is sellable for a few hundred. Have to list it by year; by family (touring); by region (USA) Motor size won't matter much. just say 103. Most that would buy this are the folks converting throttle cables to DBW, that way they get cruise and the ablility to run great big throttle bodies.
Hell, right now I have a 2009 ECM in my 2010 bike. I already owned the TTS and that's married to the 09, so I rewired the bike a little and ... poof... my bike thinks it is an 09. Even still has the 09 VIN number inside.
Eventually, I will get around to installing the 10 ECM, so I can toon with Lambda, instead of TPS.
