Same here! We've travelled across Europe from our home in the UK, using daily itineraries on our gps, covering over 2,500 miles per trip. We're planning a further trip for September, but parts of Germany, Czech Republic and Poland, where we plan to ride, are flooded at present!

That's about right. Generally, the HD speedo is 2-3 mph fast.

GPS...what's that? LOL I'm old school and usually use my brain and maybe a map sometimes...sometimes it's fun and exploring roads and you find new things you would not have...The rest of the family are all addicted to them though and I have fun telling my daughters GPS things like..."shut up you bitch, you think you know everything"...LOL, just joking around and my college age daughter gives me the evil eye and reminds me that she is not real...LOL...I just do it to tease my wife and daughter, great fun for me! I do use one when hiking though and I bring my map...Glad your unit did not get wrecked. Ride safe.

I don't have a GPS on my bike. I don't want a GPS on my bike. I would never put a GPS on my bike. But what the heck do I know I only rode about two thousand miles last month?

I use this thing called a map and this other thing that reads the map called a brain. I use my eyes to find gas stations and a place to sleep. I also stop and talk to people. That seems to be a lost art anymore with all of this techno crap on the road. Of course that might just be a Texan thing. We still talk to each other here and I know this will shock some, we do that even with strangers.

I do the same thing when my Wife turns her's on in her car. The stupid thing can't speak Texan so we have lots of fun with how it pronounces town and road names.

Some of these things have downloadable voices, so you may find there is a suitable Texan accent available! Why you might even get to like using it yourself......

Probably will not hep much because it is not an "accent" as much as it is a language. For instance we do not say Coll-a-rad-do like them yankees in Denver. We say Col-a-rada. We also spell Bear County Bexar County but that will be the next lesson class.
