***"10-4 on that.
Id also mention that his bike is 20 years old and the wiring harness' back than were prehistoric compared to the newer bikes. They had crappy connectors and that electrical system has had every enviromental issue thrown at it over the years." ***
They musta changed the connectors in '94 then.. I've got Duetsch connectors on my harness..
To all you guys that helped me with my brake light issue THANKS. It was the rear switch. Turns out the front was out to but who knows for how long. Guess Ill check that more often! Thanks again.
Having same problem with '03 FLHT. Have continuity in the two switches, have tested the harness from under the seat to the taillight, replaced the OEM taillight with a new LED taillight and still just have the marker light and license plate light but no brake light. I do hear a click noise when either brake is applied.
93 is self grounding through fender and struts. Check for power at both contacts to a good ground source. You'll need a helper for this. Cause you can't check for power and hit the brakes at the same time. One contact is running light on with ignition, the other is the brake light contact. The outer shell is suppose to be grounded.
All this guessing is foolishness either you know how to trouble shoot a circuit or you don't!! If you don't ask a friend for help, bring it to the dealer or learn. Replacing crap on a guess and a whim is expensive and just plain dumb.
