Default Front Brake Caliper Question

2008 Street Glide with ABS.

With my bike up in the air on a lift, if I spin the front wheel, should it spin freely, or is it normal for the brake calipers to restrict the wheel from spinning?

If I spin the front wheel, there is enough contact and friction for the wheel to make less than one full spin.

If this is not normal, steps required to fix?

I can hear the calipers on the rotor as I'm riding.

Thanks guys!

Somewhat normal, except I don't like the fact that you can hear the calipers on the rotors when riding. Do the rotors get very hot?

I'm assuming original pads? How many miles on the bike.

Try here, here and here for advise, also try flushing the fluid. It may be gunked up. If your a rookie brake bleeder speedbleeders can assit.

I also believe this is normal. I noticed the "problem" when I changed out my front forks. Per the two dealerships I talked to they said to not worry about it. An Indy suggested I carry an infrared temp gauge with me and verify that the temp of the disks didn't get hot. When I checked the temp after riding around the neighborhood and not using the front brake, they were fine in temp.
