I don't want to call BS on your story but I might have to, I ask myself why would a dealer risk his reputation when everything can be repaired or replaced at Zero cost to him, everything you mentioned is covered under the warranty. Dealers love warranty work, It's where they get to rape the company Instead of the customer.

Hmmmm...two posts? Just saying! I've not heard of the issues of which you speak. I know of two people I occasionally ride with that have 13's. No issues at all except the standard factory lean condition.
