Default Can you mix tires?

I have D402's front and rear, but my rear is getting a little thin, I was thinking about going Michelin Commander II, but only need a rear right now. Can I put the michelin on the rear and leave the dunlop on the front to be changed when it wears out?

I had the same question just Conti Milestones on the front, probably same answer though.

Yes, the rims will never know. But the fashion police will bash you.

I ran stock Lops for years, and on a Deuce, they are not the same number. (not talking size either) I forget what they are, but rear is a lot softer. I am running a Metzler 880 on front since it came with the wheel, now. My rear is now a Michelin Commander. It appears much narrow since the Lop had a rub bead at least 1/4" sticking out to give the wider look on a Deuce. I like the heck out of the Michelin Commander. Could be the Lop was just so worn out but Michelin handles just as good or better and rides much softer. Could that softer be the tread area is there (Lop was down to cord in a spot) Warning.. I drive slow, easy and careful, so it could be my opinion does not count.

Yes you can, I have the stock OEM D-402 in front and a Michelin Commander II on the back, bike handles great, no wobbling or any other issues, and the M-CII don't follow the road grooves or tar snakes like the D-402 did.

Some riders (like myself) prefer different front and rear tires. Mix n match, no problem!

It'll void your warranty if you mix match tires like that, says so in the Owners manual!!....LOL....Do what you want to, it won't hurt a thing, the wheels and bike will never know the difference!!
